Angel Wings for Angie: Annual Benefit Concert to Fight Opioid Addiction

David and Liz from Walled Lake, Michigan are high school friends of Dennis from years ago. In 2014 they lost their oldest daughter Angie to accidental opiate overdose. The pain is seemingly unbearable at times for them and their other three daughters in the aftermath. But they are strong and they intended to fight back to help anyone and everyone beat this horrible disease of opiate addiction.

In 2015 they decided to create the first annual benefit concert in Angie’s name, Angel Wings for Angie. In this loving tribute, they work as a family to build awareness and raise much needed funds to support FAN, Families Against Narcotics in the Oakland County Michigan area. The following video was one in a YouTube series that help to promote the event online, build awareness and pay tribute to their beautiful daughter Angie.

To make this tribute even more touching and meaningful, that is David singing the cover of Shine On You Crazy Diamond by Pink Floyd with his rock cover band Happy Stix. The first annual benefit raised over $32,000 for opioid prevention in Oakland county, Michigan.
